Life Is Too Short – Just Be Happy

“On a cosmic calendar that compresses the history of the Universe into one year, human civilization is just a few seconds old, and a human lifetime is a fraction of a second.” Life is simply so short. We are here for just a fleeting moment and yet we live most of our daily lives worried about the future or stressfully re-living the past.

Is that really living? Ask yourself, if you had 3 weeks left to live, what parts of your life would you give up and what parts would you give more time to? Is worrying about money, your job or what people think of you that important in the grand scheme of things? As Robert Downey Jr. says “worrying is like praying for what you don’t want to happen.” So stop worrying.

My advice and what I find useful is to write down all the things in your life that make you feel happy. Determine what you need in your life to really flourish and be the best version of you. It could be spending more time with loved ones, simply making time for yourself or following your passion whether that is writing, painting, dancing, sailing, hiking or travelling. It actually doesn’t matter. What matters is you do the things you love. Feel the life inside of you. Life is simply too short to be anything but happy.
